It was about a young male human who winds up surprisingly transforming into a female dragon.  There's semi-unwilling sex (as dragons), and he/she drives all other dragons crazy with attraction.  I know that's not a lot to go on, but does anyone know the story I'm talking about?

I am planning on doing a Beauty awareness project.  I want to send my natural photo to as many different countries as possible, and have a digital manipulator alter my photo into their perception of what is beautiful.

I will give 50 points to every person who's  manipulated picture gets used (most likely anyone who sends a manipulated picture back).  So if you are interested in this project, just comment with your country below.

Well, since I'm going to be traveling to California soon, I'm making a list of places in Oregon and California that are haunted.  I might even start doing Paranormal Investigations.  So this is (for all intents & purposes) my sources/raw materials file cabinet.  This is all at the moment word for word but I will tackle each bit and post a new journal for my own analyseses and research.

LOCATION:

The White Eagle Cafe Saloon and Rock and Roll Hotel can be found in North Portland's industrial neighborhood, underneath the glorious span of the city's Fremont Bridge. Conveniently, new MAX Yellow Line that can drop people off just a block away from its location.

DESCRIPTION:

Built in the 1899 building style, The White Eagle Saloon and Rock and Roll Hotel has 2 stories, with a basement area. The basement is where the food storage freezers and main office are located.

The second floor has the original 11 rooms for overnight lodging by guests, who also get to listen to the rock bands who play downstairs for free. Rooms are described as having "simple charm and a definite Old World sensibility." In other words, they are simply furnished, but have lovely antique beds, furniture and lamps. Guests have a sink, but share a floor bathroom.

The main floor houses the corner stage for musical entertainment which ranges from acoustic to rock groups, as well as a dining and bar area, known as the Saloon. There is also a big screen to show sporting events for their customers.

Outside, there is a nice eating area for the warmer months which they call The Beer Garden.

The walls of the first floor showcase the hiThe story of this place from the very beginning and the events which took place here. Nice art touches include a lovely ceramic tiled floor, an impressive oak back bar and special memorabilia from its varied past.

Tom and I ate here and loved the food and the fine, on-tap beer, and highly recommend the Saloon for a great place to eat and relax.

A COLORFUL HISTORY

The White Eagle Saloon began as a respectable establishment. In 1905, this White Eagle Saloon was owned and operated by Bronislaw Soboleski and William Hryszko, opening its doors to serve the Polish workers who lived in this then residential area. It also has the distinction of being the place where St. Stanislaus, the West Coast's first Polish Catholic church held their organizational meetings.

At a gradual but steady pace, the surrounding neighborhood became industrialized, so the clientele of The White Eagle Saloon changed, drawing in laborers who worked at the docks, rail yards, and factories. As the Port area developed, more sailors off the ships also began to call The White Eagle their place to enjoy alcoholic beverages, good grub and other pleasures which began to be offered as well, courtesy of another owner of the place.

By this time, The White Eagle Saloon was no place for respectable society. The tradition says that some male customers were sometimes shanghaied onto ships who needed men. Supposedly, there was an underground tunnel from the basement of the building which led outside. This route was taken by the kidnapping thugs who transported the men who were incapacitated in some way to the ship, where they would wake up on the next morning!

HISTORY OF MANIFESTATIONS: Considered by some to be the most haunted building in Portland. During its disrespectable years, human pain and suffering were common in this building. Prostitution, having too much to drink, and a general roustabout attitude are some of main causes of the hauntings at this now mainstream hard hat and rock and roll enthusiast cafe and saloon which offers fine musical entertainment, beer on draft and great food!

MANIFESTATIONS:

Brothel Areas

It was Brothel Central sometime around the early part of the 20th century, before the government started to enforce vice laws.

The Basement - Housed the Brothel of Color - Offered the services of grown black women, Asian women, and one source thinks a few young female teens from South America. Supposedly, these girls were kidnapped/or bought by sailors in South America port towns, brought to Oregon and in turn wound up as sex slaves in this basement and probably in other brothels.

A) Area is hostile to psychics.

B) Faint music can be heard at times.

C) Freezer doors open and shut by themselves.

D) The Living have been groped and touched by hands.

E) Coins sometimes fall from the ceiling, especially in the office area.

The Upstairs Rooms

The second floor room were used by the White Brothel. Because of the paranormal activity, the rooms were not rented out as overnight hotel lodgings for many years. Just recently, they were renovated and reopened as a low cost place to stay, becoming the Rock and Roll Hotel part of the business. Several Spirits haunt the second floor; Two known entities are Rose and Sam.

1) Rose was a young prostitute who fell in love with one of her customers. Fearing the wrath of the owner of the bar, she refused the marriage proposal of her boyfriend who killed her in a rage. * Sounds of a woman's crying can be heard at times, which is attributed to Rose.

2) Another source of the hauntings is that of the entity of Sam. Sam was the housekeeper who lived upstairs since he was 10 years old. The kind-hearted owner at the time sort of adopted him when he was 10, giving him a room, meals and a job. He stayed in this hotel his whole life and died in his room.

3) All the doors and windows of the 13 rooms located upstairs have been known to open and shut by themselves.

Paranormal activity observed in both the upstairs and the basement:

A) Apports appear from nowhere, flying through the air.

B) Coins appear on the floor.

C) The Living have been groped and touched by cold hands.

D) "Tear-drop-shaped" apparitions have been seen in both places.

The Main Floor of the Pub - History:

1) To control the rowdies in the early 20th century, a big mean bouncer was hired to control the customers and workers when needed. One night, he disappeared and was never seen again. (thought to have been killed or shanghaied, but no one knows for sure.)

* Some rude entity pushed a waitress down the stairs toward the basement, which gave her minor injuries.

2) Because of the fighting problem, men were probably killed here, or perhaps this is the entity of Sam the housekeeper, going about his rounds, checking the bathrooms.

A) An entity walks through the hallway from the bar to the men's bathroom and flushes the toilet. A hygienic and considerate entity!

B) Toilet paper in the Ladies room has been known to fly around on its own accord.

C) Chairs move by themselves

D) Utensils and cooking tools has been known to fly around the kitchen.

STILL HAUNTED?

Yes. A host of entities call this building home.

Oregon Shakespearian Festival Theater: Ashland, OR

(voices.yahoo.com/the-top-5-mos… yahoo source)

This old tavern and whorehouse has a rich history that reaches all the way into 1899. At that time white prostitutes were kept on the second floor and African-American women were kept on the first floor. There was a Chinese bouncer there that kept the peace, he disappeared one night while working and was never seen again. There was also a boy named Sam who was taken on by the housekeeper at the age of 10 and following his death in the 1930s his room was sealed with all his original things inside. As far as sightings go, they are specifically on the second story and in the basement. There are objects flying out of nowhere, groping hands, ancient coins appearing on the floor and apparitions that are supposedly tear shaped. There is a presence that walks from the bar to restroom and flushes the toilet. Yes, they did try to replace the old toilet with a new one....it did not solve the problem. The cries of a woman can be clearly heard on the second floor. When investigated the women was seen in the room from the window in a glowing presence. Needless to say, the room has been shut for 13 years. Recently a waitress fell down the stairs. She said she was pushed twice and when the owner ran down after her they found that a mop bucket had been thrown down after them. If you're looking for some peace and quiet on your stay in Portland....this is probably not the right place for you.

Oregon Shakespearian Festival Theater: Ashland, OR

voices.yahoo.com/the-top-5-mos… (yahoo source)

From this Shakespearian Festival which is one of the top of its kind in the nation we expect ghosts. After all, Shakespeare's plays are filled with them and many actors have taken the stage here. First, there is the ghost of a lady who appears on the third floor of the Elizabethan Playhouse and is said to sing madrigals almost every night. Then it is said that the ghost of Charles Laughton appeared at a 1963 performance of "King Lear." He had always wanted to perform in "King Lear" at the Shakespearian Festival but died before he could perform. At the next performance a strange vibrating sound moved from the audience to the stage. He has been reported on the third floor of the said theater. Theater and a haunting all in one evening, nothing better.

Yaquina Bay Lighthouse: Newport, OR

(yahoo source)

This three story lighthouse is haunted by the murdered sea captain Evan MacClure of the ship "Moncton." It was a whaling ship and he was cast adrift in a rowing boat by his crew in the winter of 1874. He was never seen again and no knows what happened to the captain. The eerie thing is that this ghost does not stay put. On the contrary, he actually roams to nearby taverns and homes. He is said to be a red haired ghost with a skeleton face. The story is that he actually told a housewife that he was just looking for a place to stay and someone to join him. Scarier still, shortly after his death a group of girls were picnicking near the lighthouse when a girl (nameless) from the group went in the lighthouse to get a forgotten object a scream was heard, and when her friends ran to her rescue there was no friend to be seen. She vanished forever. For the next 120 odd years both the captain and the little girl in the white dress have been seen at the lighthouse. There are many lighthouse hauntings in Oregon but this seems to be the one with the most sightings yet.

Oregon Vortex: Gold Hill, OR

voices.yahoo.com/the-top-5-mos…

(Yahoo source)

There has always been something quite wrong and distorted with this land since the very beginning. Native Americans deemed it the "Forbidden Hill" and white settlers in 1864 all believed that there was something wrong with the area. The Native Americans said that it was a place that their horses would not go into. A Scottish physicist named John Litster came in 1914 and spent the rest of his life studying the aberrations in the light fields and gravity. In 1930 it became open to the public. The House of Mystery was a cabin that was used as an assay office during the gold mining days until it collapsed. The vortex draw is said to be right behind the building. One of the many effects is that photographs become distorted when take here. John Litster has been seen many a time on the sloping floor in the cabin laughing and plucking his eyebrows. He has been seen walking ahead of the tour many a-time.

Hot Lake Hotel: La Grande, OR

voices.yahoo.com/the-top-5-mos…

(Yahoo source)

Hot Lake Hotel is considered by many to be one of the scariest hotels (Fox Family Channel has agreed). Hot Lake Hotel used to be a sanitarium and many of the former tenants are said to walk the halls many a night in this deserted resorts. Screams, playing pianos, and footsteps are some of the many sounds heard throughout the hotel. There is also a very large party going on the third floor, night after night. After being declared a spa in the 1930s a huge fire swept the place and all that is left is a brick building by a few small houses. Shortly after it was turned into an insane asylum and then to a restaurant. While there is no piano left in the place, it still plays. Old vacationers and a gardener who committed suicide are a few extra spirits to be seen visiting the place. If you decide to visit this place make sure that you have a grip on your sanity or you could become one of the dearly departed yourself.
